What we collect when registering
In order to join and use NoteMesh users are required to submit a valid university issued email address to the website. This email address must end in ".edu". If the user does not want these emails or wants his or her email address removed from NoteMesh's servers, the user may send an email to the privacy officer listed above. We will never sell your personal information to anyone including so-called trusted third party partners that other sites do. NoteMesh also requests a minimal amount of personal information used to make the site more useable and people friendly.
What we collect when using NoteMesh
We keep track of all content submitted by users to NoteMesh. Any content submissions and edits can be viewed by other users. NoteMesh also places a cookie on your computer to tell if you are currently logged into the website or not. We do not collect any information about what internet sites users visit while logged into notemesh.com (or its subdomains, such as utexas.notemesh.com).
Children Under Age 13
Notemesh does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from any persons under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register. If you are under 13, please do not send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under age 13 is allowed to provide any personal information to or on NoteMesh. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us via our contact page.
Protecting your Personal Information
Information submitted to NoteMesh is stored a secure server. The NoteMesh team has taken precautions in protecting this server from intruders, however, we cannot guarantee that our server will be completely secure. Users are advised not to submit any sensitive information such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, maps to buried treasure, etc, to NoteMesh. Yaar.
